Panna: Due to continuous heavy rainfall in Panna district, rivers and streams are in full spate. Among them, the historic Brihaspati Kund is witnessing a dramatic rise in water levels, attracting a large number of visitors eager to witness the powerful waterfalls. However, the strong water currents and deep water have also become a source of danger, leading to several accidents due to negligence.
In the latest tragic incident, three youths went missing while bathing at Brihaspati Kund on Saturday. The missing youths have been identified as Abhishek Dhimar, Krishna Sharma, and Twitrat Chaudhary, all residents of Barhut in Satna district. They had come to visit the famous tourist spot with a group of friends.
According to their friends, the three entered the water to bathe but suddenly disappeared in different areas of the Kund. Despite efforts to locate them, they did not return. The friends immediately informed nearby people and alerted the authorities.
Following the report, a rescue operation was launched without delay. The police and Home Guard teams reached the site along with divers to search for the missing youths. As of now, search operations are ongoing.
This incident has created panic among locals and visitors. Authorities have once again urged people to maintain caution while visiting such water bodies during the monsoon season and to avoid entering deep waters. The district administration is also considering restricting access to the site until the water level recedes.
