Washington, May 6 (UNI) One person was killed and 23 others injured in a bus crash in U.S. state of Maryland early Sunday, authorities said.
Police responded to the scene of a single vehicle bus crash on I-95 Interstate Highway in Harford County shortly after 6:00 a.m. local time (1000 GMT), said Maryland State Police in a news release.
The preliminary investigation indicated the bus with 24 people aboard traveling northbound on I-95 when for unknown reasons losing control and striking a guardrail, it said.
One passenger from the bus was pronounced dead on the scene, it added.
Maryland State Police said it’s actively investigating the cause of the accident.
