Youth have leading role in making of developed India: Sachdeva

New Delhi, Jan 26 (UNI) Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva unfurled the national flag on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day at the party’s state unit office, and said the Indian Republic’s strength is built by the sacrifices made by freedom fighters, armed forces personnel and also those who drafted the constitution.

In his message to the people of the city and the country, Sachdeva said that everyone’s combined effort is what is needed to drive the nation towards prosperity, progress and make it a developed country.

He urged the elder generations to encourage the younger ones to fulfill their important role of choosing the representatives through their right vote, adding that they must be encouraged by the older generations for this, being something very crucial for protecting the constitution.

Sachdeva has appealed to the people of Delhi, emphasizing on the youth, and urged them to have greater understanding of the democratic values, remain vigilant about constitutional rights such as voting.

He said that they are the future of the country, and will play a leading role in fulfilling the resolve of a ‘Developed India.’

The BJP leader stated that the nation is on a road development and witnessing continuous progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, adding that it is the duty of the residents of the national capital in giving the country, a place of pride on the global platform through positive thinking, discipline, and a spirit of patriotism.

Meanwhile, the state BJP chief also distributed sweets with the security and police personnel, to mark the occasion.

Delhi unit General Secretary Vishnu Mittal, Vice President Rajkumar Bhatia, Brajesh Rai and Amit Gupta, along with Minority wing chief Anees Abbasi, and other office bearers of the BJP Delhi were present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, people around the city celebrated the Republic Day will energy, as one could see youngsters carrying national flags, while many resident welfare associations also organised programs on the occasion and national flags were unfurled to mark the national event.

Patriotic songs could be heard playing on loud speakers in colonies, while children came to parks dressed in tri- colors during their local events.

An elder citizen shared that the day holds a lot of importance as neighbors, who often do not get a chance to meet each other, also get together, on the occasion with a spirit of brotherhood and patriotism.
