Lucknow, Mar 9 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday congratulated the Indian cricket team for winning ICC Champions Trophy and said that it has made the festive season more colourful and joyous.
Taking to X, Yogi wrote, “Historic victory…Congratulations to the champions! Heartfelt greetings to the countrymen!”
He said, “The Indian cricket team, by winning the Champions Trophy, has made the festive season even more colourful and joyous with the hues of victory, and the nation is proud of every player. Infinite best wishes for your bright future. Jai Hind!”
Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya said, “Well played Team India! Heartfelt congratulations to the Indian cricket team for their outstanding performance and victory in the final match of the ICC Champions Trophy! 140 crore countrymen are extremely proud of you!”
He has said that the enthusiasm, confidence and excellent performance of the young players is a proud moment for every Indian. “This victory has brought enthusiasm and celebration not only on the cricket field but also in the hearts of crores of countrymen,” he said.
Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana has also congratulated the Indian cricket team on winning the ICC Champions Trophy. He said that by defeating New Zealand by four wickets in the final match, Team India hoisted its flag and brought pride to the entire country.
He said, “This historic victory of the Indian cricket team is a symbol of their enthusiasm, energy and discipline. The players performed brilliantly throughout the tournament and also brought pride to the country by playing with patience and commitment in the final.”
Mahana said that this victory is a matter of pride for the countrymen and it will inspire the youth to work hard and be dedicated. He congratulated the entire team for this great achievement and wished them a bright future.
