- Heavy rains lash Madhya Pradesh
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh is bracing for another spell of intense weather, with the Meteorological Department issuing a yellow alert for numerous districts. Heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is forecast across much of the state, with the current wet spell expected to continue until August 6th. Gusty winds, reaching speeds of 40 kmph, are also anticipated.
Districts in the Gwalior-Chambal region, including Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, and Niwari, are particularly warned of potentially torrential downpours on Tuesday.
Widespread rain expected
Rainfall is also highly likely in Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, Agar, Mandsaur, Betul, Harda, Khandwa, and Burhanpur. A yellow alert for rain has additionally been issued for Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Balaghat, Panna, Khargone, Sehore, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Anuppur, Shahdol, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mauganj, and Satna.
According to meteorologists, the monsoon trough is currently active, extending from Amritsar to the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Several cyclonic circulations in the upper atmosphere over Northwest Bihar, Punjab, North Gujarat, and the Northeast Arabian Sea are contributing to the intensified weather conditions across the state. Residents are advised to stay updated on forecasts and take necessary precautions.
