Chennai, Aug 22 (UNI) Unseeded Yashwin Krishnakumar of USA toppled top seed Aradhya Kshitiji to storm into the Boy’s singles final of the Unify-ITF Junior Tennis chamoionship here today.
Yashwin, who won 7-6(6), 6-2, 6-2 in three sets in the semifinals, will meet second seeded Vraj Gohli in the title clash tomorrow.
Gohli defeated 12th seededA?ran Selvaraasan of UK 5-7, 7-5, 6-2 in three tough sets at the SDAT Nungambakkam Tennis stadium.
In the Girls’s singles semifinals, second seed Diya Ramesh beat third seed Diya Chaudhary in straight sets and will meet 14th seed Parthsarathi Arun Mundhe in the finals.
While Parthsarathi upset top seed Aishwarya Jadhav in a close two setter 7-5, 7-6(4), Diya Ramesh subdued Diya Chaudhary 6-0, 6-1 in a surprisingly one-sided contest.
