Yaseen ‘Machhli’ sent to Jail

  • Key accused in high profile Bhopal Drug Case

Bhopal,  A major development unfolded on Monday in Bhopal’s high-profile drug trafficking case, as the primary accused, Yaseen Ahmed alias Yaseen Machhli, was sent to judicial custody until August 1. His police remand concluded, following which he was presented before the court and remanded to jail.

Yaseen, along with his uncle Shahwar Machhli, has been under intense scrutiny by the Crime Branch. Investigations have revealed that Yaseen was not only involved in drug trafficking but also engaged in illegal arms smuggling and blackmailing operations. Authorities seized his mobile phone and MacBook, uncovering objectionable videos and chats that are helping expose deeper layers of the criminal network.

So far, seven individuals linked to Yaseen’s drug supply network have been arrested. The probe has also revealed inter-state connections, with drugs being supplied from Rajasthan, Mumbai, and Punjab.

The case has taken a political turn as Yaseen’s father, Shafiq Machhli, is reportedly associated with the BJP’s Minority Cell. This political link has intensified public and media attention.

Police continue to trace the full extent of the racket and are actively searching for remaining absconding suspects. The case is expected to widen as digital evidence continues to surface.
