A two-day workshop on ‘Eutrophication in winter’ being organised by Department of Women and Child Development at Jawahar Bal Bhavan concluded on Wednesday. This workshop was started on Tuesday in which students of Home Science Division of Jawahar Bal Bhavan participated. In this workshop students were informed about the importance of nutrition at adolescence age.
In this workshop students were told about various food products which consists iron. Students were also informed about disorders and illness occurred due to deficiency of iron. In this workshop students also made some nutritional food items such as sprouted salad, green chilli pickle etc.
Directing officer of Food and Nutrition Board Rajendra Singh and other officials were present at the workshop. As many as 70 students of Jawahar Bal Bhavan participated in this workshop. Director of Jawahar Bal Bhavan Umashankar Nagyach told that in this workshop students were told about the importance of green vegetables and seasonal fruits in winter.
