Bhopal: The Department of Electrical Engineering at Sagar Institute of Science, Technology & Engineering (SISTec-E), Ratibad conducted a two-day national workshop on drone design. The workshop aimed to inspire young minds to explore the emerging domain of drone technologies, foster innovation and entrepreneurship, and prepare future technocrats for opportunities in the rapidly expanding UAV industry. The workshop was organized with support of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES), Madhya Pradesh Chapter and the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science & Technology with Pradeep Namdeo Founder and CEO Prakhar Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. as the Chief Guest and Air Commodore Rajiv Mittal, VSM (Veteran), Managing Director, DYLOG GLOBAL as the Guest of Honor along with Dr. Celia Shahnaz, Professor at BUET, Bangladesh.
98 students registered from across India participated in the workshop. The first day witnessed technical sessions by Yashraj Sunhare, CEO of Jarvis Labs Pvt. Ltd., on Drones Onboard Electronics and Flight Basics, followed by a session on hands-on training in drone assembly and flight operations. Day 2 observed the presence of Manmath Kumar Badapanda, Chair of the IEEE-IES MP Chapter and Senior Scientist at RRCAT, Indore, as the Chief Guest in the presence of distinguished foreign delegates. The workshop concluded with participants presenting their drone designs and flying tests.
