Pachmarhi: On the third day of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee’s ongoing District Presidents’ Organisational Training Camp in Pachmarhi, an enlightening and inspiring session was held on “Gender Sensitisation – Understanding Gender Sensitivity and Awareness.”

The session was conducted by Sonal Patel, former Secretary of the All India Congress Committee and District President of Ahmedabad City. In her thought-provoking address, Patel spoke at length about the role, contribution, and identity of women in society, as well as the contemporary challenges they face.

She emphasised that “gender equality is not merely a policy but a mindset and behaviour that must be internalised at every level of society.” Engaging in an open and meaningful dialogue with the attending district presidents and office-bearers, Patel encouraged them to strengthen women’s participation within the organisation and promote inclusive leadership.

Participants described the session as highly useful, intellectually stimulating, and awareness-enhancing. They noted that it provided practical insights into fostering gender sensitivity in political and social work.

The ongoing training camp in Pachmarhi, organised under the aegis of the All India Congress Committee, continues to focus on building organisational capacity, ideological clarity, and social awareness among Congress leaders. Through sessions like these, the camp aims to instil a spirit of equality, empathy, and empowerment across the party’s grassroots leadership.
