Bhopal: Police has arrested a woman in connection with jewelry theft from the women’s common room of a gym in Shahpura. Jewelry worth two lakh rupees has been recovered from her. Shweta Khare Jain (36), a resident of Misrod, had reached Gold Gym in Shahpura on September 19. During this time, she kept her purse in the locker of the women’s common room of the gym as per the rules and went to the gym. After some time, when she took out her purse from the locker, its chain was found open. On checking, two gold bangles, a pair of gold ear tops, a pair of gold earrings, a small gold pendant, two gold mangalsutras and 22 thousand rupees kept in the purse were missing. She had a small purse, inside which Aadhar card, identity card, PAN card, driving license and debit card were kept. Police had registered a case of theft against an unknown person on Shweta’s report. During the investigation, the police questioned Seema Nayak (43), a resident of Salaiya, and she confessed to stealing the jewellery. The stolen jewellery has been recovered from her possession. The value of the seized jewellery is said to be around Rs 2 lakh.

Youth attacks middle aged man with knife
A youth attacked a middle aged man living in Teela Jamalpura with a knife. Police have registered a case of stabbing against the accused. According to police, Raju Yadav (55) works as an electrician living in Naya Basti Teela Jamalpura. On the night of 21 September, around 12:30, a young man named Santosh living in the neighbourhood was abusing in front of his house in a drunken state. When Raju stopped him from doing so, he started dancing with him. When Raju pushed him away, Santosh took out a knife and attacked Raju. Hearing the shouts, family members and neighbours intervened. After that Santosh ran away threatening them. Police have registered a case against the accused and started efforts to arrest him.

Girl dies after eating poisonous substance
A young woman living in Arera Hills area died after eating poisonous substance. The police have registered a case and after conducting the post-mortem, handed over the body to the family. No suicide note has been found near the deceased. According to the police, Kiran Prajapati (24) lived in Arera Hills near the old Vidhan Sabha. After completing her graduation, she used to work in a beauty parlor. Late Friday night, she consumed poison at home. The family took her to Hamidia Hospital for treatment, where she died on Saturday. No suicide note has been found near the deceased. The real reason for consuming poison will be revealed only after the detailed statement of the family members.
