Chandigarh, Nov 23 (UNI) With the ruling Aam Aadmi Party set to win three out of four assembly by-poll seats, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Saturday congratulated the people and assured that the party will fulfil all the promises made in the run-up to the by-elections.
As the trends by noon showed that the AAP was set to win Dera Baba Nanak, Chabbewal and Gidderbaha assembly seats, Mann wrote on “X” :
“Congratulations to the people of Punjab for this great victory. Under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP was touching new heights across the country. We are working towards Punjab’s progress day in and day out without favour and with utmost honesty. We will fulfil each and every promise made to the people during bye-elections. Good wishes to all. Inqalab Zindabad!”
By-polls to Gidderbaha, Dera Baba Nanak, Chabbewal (SC) and Barnala took place on November 20.
The by-polls were necessitated after the incumbent legislators were elected to the Lok Sabha earlier this year.
