Will file defamation cases against Delhi CM, Sanjay Singh for defaming me: Sandeep Dikshit

New Delhi, Dec 31 (UNI) Senior Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit on Tuesday said he will file defamation cases against Delhi Chief Minister and AAP Rajya Sabha MP for accusing him of taking crores of money from BJP.

The Congress candidate from the New Delhi Assembly Constituency while addressing a press conference here said, “I will file both civil and criminal defamation cases of Rs 10 crores against Chief Minister Atishi and AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh in a day or two for defaming me with the allegation of taking money from the BJP”.

He further said that the out of the Rs 10 crore defamation money, he will “donate Rs five crores for cleaning of Yamuna and Rs five crores for the air pollution issues in Delhi”.

Dikshit said, “Some five-six days back, Atishi ji in a press conference alleged that, the BJP was giving me crores of money. I remembered that some ten to twelve years back, the AAP had been accusing the Congress, my late mother and me of indulging in corruption. For the last ten to twelve years, I have been seeking replies from the AAP. Today I again ask them to either give me the replies to the questions I have asked or stop asking questions”.

The Senior Congress leader also accused the AAP government of telling lies to the people of Delhi about the development works it has done in the last ten years.

Dikshit slammed the AAP government accusing it of not implementing any of the welfare schemes even after Arvind Kejriwal became the Chief Minister.

He said that when the Delhi CM accused him of taking crores in cash, he thought of filing the defamation case but unfortunately on that very day, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh passed away and tomorrow when the mourning period is over, he will file both the civil and criminal cases against them.

It may be mentioned that the AAP had accused the Congress party last week of colluding with BJP ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls by targeting the Arvind Kejriwal-led party.
