Wildlife Week begins at Van Vihar

Bhopal: The Wildlife Week began at Van Vihar on Tuesday. On this occasion participants, including children, took part in various programmes.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Forest and Environment, Dilip Singh Ahirwar has said that to save wildlife, it is necessary to develop sensitivity and compassion towards wildlife in the minds of people. He said this on the occasion of the launch of State Level Wildlife Week 2024 at Forest Department National Park Bhopal. He said that Wildlife Week is celebrated every year in the first week of October with a view to increasing awareness about wildlife among the common people and developing a sense of belongingness.

Minister of State Ahirwar said that it is very important that public participation also gets due place in the conservation of wildlife. Lack of public awareness, ignorance and superstition towards wildlife are also obstacles in the conservation of wildlife.
