The weather in Bhopal and at many other places in the state has turned sultry and humid as monsoon has taken a break. In its forecast, weather department said that rains accompanied by thunder activities are likely in some places of Sagar, Panna, Tikamgarh, Damoh, Chhattarpur, Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Singhrauli, Umaria, Anuppur, Shahdol and Dindori districts. Rains are also likely in some places of Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat,
Narsinghpur, Katni, Chhindwada, Seoni, Ujjain, Neemuch, Ratlam, Shajapur, Dewas, Mandsaur, Agar, Hoshangabad, Betul, Harda, Datia, Guna, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Ashok Nagar, Sheopurkalan, Bhind, Morena, Indore, Burhanpur, Bhopal, Raisen, Rajgarh, Vidisha and Sehore districts respectively. The local forecast for Bhopal says that sky would be partially cloudy and there is possibility of light showers.
The weather conditions are likely to remain same for next twenty four hours. Now people are waiting for the next spell of monsoon. The weather conditions in Bhopal remained dry on Thursday. However, sky became cloudy during evening hours, giving the impression that rains may start anytime. Weather Department said that as of now, weather conditions remains to be dry and there is no system in sight currently. This is the reason that rainfall activities have come to a standstill in state. Weather conditions are likely to remain same for next four to five days.
As monsoon system has lost the steam, rainfall activities have declined in state. Whatever rainfall activities are happening in few places they are due to local system. Rains have taken backseat in Bhopal and due to this reason, humidity level has increased substantially. The increase humidity is giving tough time to people. In last twenty four hours, major rainfall figures were recorded in Nagodh (5 cm), Singhrauli (4 cm), Sidhi, Satna,
Hanumana, Rewa (3 cm each), Gurh (2 cm) and Bichia and Maihar (1 cm each). No possibility of rain in coming 3-4 days Weather forecaster Shukla told that there is a change in weather after rain. The weather of rain is in Himalayas currently. So, there is a less chance of rain in coming days.
