- Bhopal MP felicitated doctors, inaugurated HPLC machine
Bhopal. ‘I am also a member of Bhopal Memorial Hospital. This hospital has been providing very good services to patients for the last 25 years. Together we will make this hospital even better. All the machines and equipment required here will be made available. I will accept all the proposals I receive for the needs of patients and the betterment of BMHRC.’ This is what Bhopal’s Lok Sabha MP Shri Alok Sharma said. He was addressing the hospital staff during the Doctor’s Honor Ceremony organized at BMHRC on Tuesday. During this, Alok Sharma was accompanied by BMHRC’s Director-in-Charge Dr. Manisha Shrivastava, Medical Superintendent-in-Charge Dr. Anurag Yadav and other hospital officials.
During his visit to BMHRC, Shri Sharma first of all paid tribute to the memorial built in the memory of the victims of Bhopal Gas Tragedy and planted a sapling in the memorial premises. On the occasion of Dhanvantari Jayanti, he worshipped Lord Dhanvantari in the OPD premises. After this, he visited the hospital. He also enquired about the health of the patients. Shri Sharma seemed satisfied with the facilities provided to the patients by the hospital. Sharma released the first issue of BMHRC’s official language magazine ‘Samvahan’ in the auditorium. The doctors of BMHRC were also honored by the Environment, Culture Conservation and Human Welfare Trust by Sharma.
Dr. Manisha Srivastava, Director-in-Charge of BMHRC, expressed gratitude to Alok Sharma for visiting the institute. She said that BMHRC is committed to providing excellent treatment to gas victims and other patients. This is the silver jubilee year of BMHRC and during these 25 years, more than one crore patients have visited the hospital. The institute is contributing to the sickle cell elimination and TB elimination mission of the Government of India.
Inauguration of HPLC machine
Alok Sharma inaugurated the new and state-of-the-art HPLC High Performance Liquid Chromatography machine in the Department of Pathology. This machine is used to test glycated hemoglobin for diabetes. Apart from this, this machine is also used to test thalassemia and sickle cell anemia.
