Jabalpur/Bhopal: The West Central Railway (WCR) has reported a strong surge in originating freight loading, achieving a significant increase in the current financial year. Through continuous monitoring by the General Manager and targeted efforts across the Jabalpur, Bhopal, and Kota divisions, the zone has accelerated its performance.
= WCR exceeds last year’s numbers
In November 2025 alone, the WCR recorded an originating freight loading of 4.62 million tonnes (MT). This figure is a remarkable 7.73% higher than the 4.29 MT recorded during the same period last financial year.
This robust monthly performance has driven the cumulative freight volume for the current financial year (April to November 2025) to 36.08 MT. This represents a healthy increase of 6.84% compared to the 33.77 MT loaded during the corresponding period last year, demonstrating sustained growth in the WCR’s goods transport sector.
