- Minister Sarang reviews Water Sports Academy
Bhopal: Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang has given instructions to showcase water sports activities at Lake View once a week with the aim of attracting youth and citizens towards water sports activities. He said that for this, an event program should also be made, in which the whole city can see the activities of water sports. In this, the cooperation of other departments including Municipal Corporation and Tourism Department should also be taken. Minister Sarang was reviewing the activities of water sports at the Water Sports Academy on Monday.
Discipline, culture and career are obtained from sports
Sarang said that efforts should be made to make parents aware about sports as well. Youth get discipline, culture and career from sports. By watching the sports activities in the event program, children and youth will be attracted towards sports and their sports spirit will be awakened. He also asked to screen a short film of water sports activities through LED in the Water Sports Academy.
Document profile of players should be prepared
Sarang said that a diary of the players of the academy should be prepared, in this document profile, their performance and achievement in sports should be recorded along with their details. Physical activity should also be included. He said that a proposal should be prepared regarding expectations and grants from the Government of India to promote sports activities.
Success stories of players
Sarang said that success stories of excellent players should also be prepared. It should be displayed on social media, print and electronic media, this will attract the youth towards sports and it will be easy to search talent.
Sarang said that there are immense possibilities in water sports, shooting and hockey in Madhya Pradesh. Efforts should be made in this direction. To attract school children to the academy, our aim should be to convey its information to them. For this, they will have to be made aware through various programs.
