Mumbai, Aug 13 (UNI) Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan believes that his upcoming action spectacle, ‘War 2’, will be nothing short of an unmissable experience for cinephiles, best savoured on the grandeur of the big screen.
“The love and appreciation and encouragement I got when I played Kabir in ‘War’ reminded me of the love that I got in ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’, the love I got in ‘Dhoom 2’, in ‘Krrish’. And this time I’m coming back with Kabir, and it’s such a joy to play that character that everyone loved so much. This time he’s more intense and even more in a dilemma than he was—very, very emotional. So ‘War 2’, I think, is going to be something unmissable,” says Hrithik.
The actor also revealed that filming the sequel was a physically demanding process, as he had to push through major injuries to deliver his performance. “It was difficult to push through and overcome pain and injury. We worked very, very hard. All the pain, all the injury while filming ‘War 2’ has been worth it. When I felt pain while I was shooting ‘War 2’, I was thinking, is all this worth it?—but when I see the love for it, of course it is worth it,” he shares.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji and bankrolled by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films (YRF) banner, ‘War 2’ forms a pivotal chapter in the acclaimed YRF spy universe, the genre-defying franchise that has elevated the grammar of action cinema in India. With Hrithik Roshan sharing the screen with Jr NTR and Kiara Advani, the film is poised to make a global debut on August 14.
