- BJP makes Dr. Vijay Anand Maravi, its candidate
- Congress will again field MLA Narayan Singh Patta from Bichhia Assembly

Vote bank politics in the tribal-dominated district has entangled the tribals in the trap of casteism. The poison of casteism has started destroying the spirit of harmony, especially in the Bichhia assembly of the district. In fact, a situation of caste estrangement has been created between 98 percent tribal Gond and 2 percent dominant tribal community for votes in the area. On one hand, where the BJP-Congress are leaving no stone unturned to blow it up, on the other hand, the Gondwana Gantantra Party is also looking for political gains.
To ensure victory in the Bichiya Vidhan Sabha, the BJP has already fielded its candidate Dr. Vijay Anand Maravi, but despite the candidate’s selection, there is a strange silence in the BJP camp instead of enthusiasm. If you believe the words of the political leaders and workers of Bichiya, despite the majority of tribal Gonds, this class has not yet got a chance to represent them politically, while the main tribal leaders with only 2 percent of the population continue to become MLAs and MPs.
On this subject, some time ago a group of Gond tribals met Congress State President Kamal Nath in Bhopal and demanded to give tickets to the leader of this class. It has not been revealed what decision the PCC president will take on the demand of this group, but it is discussed that the Congress may finalize the name of the leader of this class to help the Gond tribals.
It is significant that Congress’s Narayan Singh Patta is the MLA from Bichiya Assembly, he also comes from the tribal class. The difficult thing is that Narayan Singh Patta is also the sitting MLA. Due to this, it will be difficult for the Congress to cut his ticket, although the discussions about Narayan Singh Patta’s report card not being satisfactory are going on in the corridors of the Congress.
Who benefits from the disintegration in Gongpa….?
Two decades ago, the Gondwana Gantantra Party surprised the parties like BJP-Congress by sending one of its members to the assembly from this assembly seat, but with time the party became a victim of factionalism. Even now Gongpa has not been able to find a cure for this disease. Although the party has no dearth of supporters and workers. It is being speculated that in order to take advantage of the disintegration of Gongpa and to field a member of his clan from Bichiya, veteran leader of the district, MP and Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste Gup is taking silent political steps.
For two-two and a half decades, BJP politics revolves around the Kulaste family
It is well known that for the last two to two and a half decades, BJP politics in all the three legislative assemblies of the district, including the Bichiya Legislative Assembly, has been confined around MP and Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste and his family members. During this time, other BJP leaders have remained on the margins and have become just a means to increase the crowd in the programmes. The party had to bear the brunt of the BJP’s failure to find an alternative to the Kulaste family and to create another political power center in the civic body and panchayat elections. There has been no major change in this situation so far. It remains to be seen that months are still left for the assembly elections to be held and how successful it is in recovering from anti-incumbency during this period.
