New Delhi, Aug 12 (UNI) Beleaguered telecom operator Vodafone Idea on Monday announced that its net losses have come down to Rs 6432.1 crore in Q1 (April-June) y-o-y basis of fiscal 2024-25 as against Rs 7840 crore in the same quarter of last financial year.
Total revenues from operations fell marginally to Rs 10,508.3 crore in the first quarter as against Rs 10,655.5 crore in the Q1 of last fiscal 2023-24.
Vodafone Idea Limited is an Aditya Birla Group and Vodafone Group partnership. The Company offers Voice and Data services on 2G, 3G and/or 4G technologies across 22 service areas in India.
Vodafone Idea has 210.1 million subscribers as of June 30, 2024 of which about 60% are 4G subscribers. As the Company continues to expand its broadband coverage and capacity, this large subscriber base provides a great platform for the Company to upgrade voice only customers to users of data services and digital offerings.
In a good sign for the company, it said the Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) has improved to Rs 146 in the Q1 of 2024-25 from Rs 139 in the same quarter of last fiscal.
