Bhopal: The closing ceremony of Vishwa Rang Sri Lanka 2025 was a grand celebration of cultural unity, literary exchange, and the growing influence of Hindi and Indian languages in South Asia. Held at the Vivekananda Cultural Centre in Colombo, the event concluded with a heartfelt promise—“We will meet again.”
The festival featured sessions on literary research, comparative folk literature, online Hindi education, and employment opportunities in Hindi as a foreign language. Scholars and artists from India and Sri Lanka engaged in deep, meaningful discussions, creating a vibrant exchange of ideas.
The International Hindi Olympiad saw enthusiastic participation from hundreds of Sri Lankan students, marking a significant step in educational collaboration. The International Poetry Reading added color to the event, with senior poets from both nations presenting emotionally charged compositions on identity, womanhood, and cultural connection.
Publications launched
Publications such as Vanmali Katha, Rang Samvad, Electronics for You, and Sunita Pahuja’s The Literary Fragrance of Mauritius were launched, further enriching the event’s literary landscape.
Director Santosh Choubey emphasized the festival’s success in building bridges across cultures and announced the expansion of online Hindi teaching programs through the Tagore International Hindi Centre.
With fireworks, poetry, and a spirit of camaraderie, Vishwa Rang Sri Lanka ended not with farewells, but with the promise of future collaboration and cultural exchange. The message was clear: Language unites, and Vishwa Rang is the canvas.
