Vishal Bhardwaj’s films are an acting class in themselves: Tripti Dimri

Mumbai, Jan 22 (UNI) Bollywood actress Tripti Dimri believes that working in a Vishal Bhardwaj film is nothing short of an immersive acting masterclass.

At the trailer launch event of “O Romeo”, Tripti spoke openly about her character Afsha and said that this role was very emotionally deep for her. She also shared that during the shooting, Shahid and Avinash supported her at every step.

Tripti said, “Working on ‘O Romeo’ was a wonderful experience, but also a bit challenging. The good thing was that Vishal sir was always there for me and so was Shahid. He’s the most supportive co-actor. Avinash was also always there to help. All my co-actors in this film were incredibly supportive. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t have been able to play this role without them.”

Tripti also revealed that she took acting workshops to better understand her character. She participated in acting workshops with Atul Monge. One steps into his workshop thinking they’ll learn acting, but one comes back having learned so much about oneself and life. With his help, she understood the depth of her character. To have the opportunity to work under Vishal’s direction is an acting class in itself. “Every actor should have this experience.”

In “O Romeo”, Tripti will be seen carrying forward the emotional story of the film through the character of Afsha. Her performance forms the emotional spine of the narrative, while her pairing with Shahid lends a compelling tension to the film. The film also boasts of an ensemble cast, including Avinash Tiwari, Disha Patani, Aruna Irani, Vikrant Massey, Tamannaah Bhatia and Farida Jalal, among others.

Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, “O Romeo” is slated for a theatrical release on February 13, 2025, during Valentine’s Week.
