New Delhi, Mar 1 (UNI) Angry over the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, protestors stormed the US Consulate in Pakistan’s Karachi on Sunday.
In a video circulating on social media, a group of locals with sticks in their hands marched inside the gates of the US Embassy in Pakistan. A few of them attacked the windows of the building, where the American flag was hoisted.
Police and paramilitary forces used batons and tear gas to disperse the crowds, according to a police official.
According to the Associated Press, at least six people were killed, and eight injured during Sunday’s clash between the Police and locals demonstrating dissent in Karachi over the death of Khamenei.
Thousands of people staged massive demonstrations in Kashmir to denounce the Iranian Supreme Leader’s killing. Protestors chanted slogans “Death to Israel” and “Death to America.”
