Video of objectionable sloganeering during cannon firing from Raisen Fort goes viral

Raisen/Bhopal: A video of alleged anti-religious slogans being raised while firing cannon from a fort during Ramadan in Raisen, Madhya Pradesh, has sparked heated discussions on social media. Several organizations have demanded action in this matter.

Ravi Khatri, president of the Hindu Utsav Samiti, stated that 11 Hindu organizations submitted separate memorandums to the collector today regarding the incident. The memorandums demand action against the accused under the National Security Act (NSA) and a ban on cannon firing from the fort. It has been reported that during Ramadan, cannons are fired from the Raisen Fort to signal the beginning of fasting and Iftar, and permission for this is granted by the district administration.

Meanwhile, police arrested four individuals accused in the case, led a procession through the city, and presented them in court, where they were sent to jail. Collector Arun Vishwakarma stated that the entire matter is being investigated, and further action will be taken based on the investigation.
