Vibrant Ganesh Chaturthi exhibition opens in Bhopal

Bhopal: A captivating exhibition celebrating Lord Ganesha’s diverse forms was inaugurated at G.P. Birla Museum by chief guest Pawan Kumar Dalmia, Director of Postal Services (HQ), Bhopal. The event, marking Ganesh Chaturthi, showcases an eclectic collection curated by retired judges Yogesh Gupta and Umesh Gupta.

The exhibition dazzles with Gond art from Mandla-Dindori tribes, Madhubani paintings, and Chitera art depicting Ganesha. Unique displays include coconut-crafted Ganesha by Kiran Gupta, Ashtavinayak idols, stone art, and international stamps, coins, and notes from Fiji, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Stunning 3D art and stamp paper Ganesha add modern flair.

Cultural treasures

Highlights include Himachal’s Pahari-style Shiva family portraits, Ganesha paintings by Raja Ravi Varma and M.F. Husain, and intricate creations from coconuts, lotteries, flowers, betel nuts, peanuts, and vegetables. International artists Avadhesh Bajpeyi, Anita Singh, Richa, Meenu Chaurasia, and Shubhra Shrivastava contribute vibrant Ganesha artworks, alongside Durga Unhale’s subabul pod creations and Mayadevi Gupta’s metal-crafted miniature Ganesha idols.

Featuring 32 Ganesha forms from the Ganesh Purana, this showcase runs from August 27 to September 9, 10 AM to 5 PM, promising a visual treat for all.
