Vehicle carrying beef seized in Bhopal

  • Cow slaughter and beef smuggling suspected

Bhopal: The issue of cow slaughter and beef smuggling has flared up in Bhopal once again, with the seizure of a car allegedly transporting cow meat—the second such incident in just 50 hours.

Bajrang Dal activists intercepted the red Eco-Sports car with Karnataka registration number plate on the Parvalia Road in the Parvalia police station area. They found a severed cow head, hide and meat inside the vehicle. The driver, however, managed to flee the scene.

The incident sparked a massive protest by the Hindu organization who raised slogans and demanded the strictest possible action, including an investigation into the location of the slaughter and the intended recipients of the meat.

The seizure follows a major bust two days ago where 10 cows were allegedly slaughtered and over five quintals of beef were recovered, highlighting an alarming increase in illegal activity in the capital. The Parvalia police are currently investigating the case.

Meanwhile, the Congress party, through state spokesperson Dr. Vikram Choudhary, criticized the ruling BJP, alleging that cow slaughter and smuggling are thriving under their rule, calling the government “anti-Sanatan and anti-Hindu.”
