Uttarakhand flash flood: Shah speaks to Dhami

New Delhi, Aug 5 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah today spoke with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to take stock of the situation following a flash flood in Dharali, in Uttarkashi district of the state.

On his social media handle X, Shah informed that three nearest ITBP teams and four NDRF teams have been dispatched to the site.

“Spoke to the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand regarding the flash flood incident in Dharali (Uttarkashi), Uttarakhand, and gathered information about the situation,” Shah said.

He added, “Three nearest ITBP teams have been sent to the location, and four NDRF teams have also been dispatched to the site. They will soon arrive and begin rescue operations”.

Meanwhile, the Indo-Tibetan Border Force (ITBP) said, “In response to the Dharali (Uttarakhand) cloudburst, ITBP has deployed multiple rescue teams in coordination with the district administration and other agencies”.

The teams are fully equipped and conducting search and rescue operations, it said.
