Tel Aviv, July 11 (UNI) White House Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa Brett McGurk informed Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant that some of the critical ammunition, the delivery of which was previously delayed, will be sent to Israel in the coming days, the Israeli Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
“On Thursday, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant met with White House Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa Brett McGurk at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv… During the conversation, McGurk informed Minister Gallant about the supply of critical ammunition, some of which will be sent to Israel in the coming days,” the statement said.
The parties also discussed the progress made in negotiations on an agreement on the release of hostages from the Gaza Strip, with an emphasis on security measures necessary to prevent the smuggling of weapons into the Gaza Strip, the ministry said.
