Washington, Feb 5 (UNI) The US Postal Service on Tuesday announced that it temporarily suspends accepting parcels arriving from China and Hong Kong.
“Effective Feb. 4, the Postal Service will temporarily suspend only international package acceptance of inbound parcels from China and Hong Kong Posts until further notice. Note the flow of letters and flats from China and Hong Kong will not be impacted,” the service said in a statement.
However, the service did not state the reason for the suspension and whether it is in any way connected with US president Donald Trump’s decision to impose tariffs on Chinese goods and Beijing’s response to it.
