Tehran/New Delhi, Mar 14 (UNI) A senior spokesman for the Iranian Armed Forces said on Saturday that the United States is no longer a world power and must be expelled from the West Asian region. In a message to the Heads of Muslim countries, Spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi called on them to rely on Iran and the Iranian people. He urged them to have unity, amity and solidarity with one another to confront the United States and Israel.
He said in the message that the Iranian Armed Forces had ‘’defeated the grandeur’’ of the United States at the international stage. The US has not been able to provide security to the Muslim countries and the region as well, according to Iran’s MEHR News Agency (MNA).
He said the world’s largest US warship, USS Abraham Lincoln, in the Persian Gulf region, was also targeted by the Iranian Armed Forces.
About the attacks on US bases in many Gulf countries, Gen Shekarchi said these bases, in which Muslim countries of the region had invested for several decades, were attacked by Iranian forces.
Iran can reconstruct the schools, hospitals, and residential buildings destroyed by US and Israeli forces, but the ‘’bogus grandeur of the army of the United States’’ cannot be rebuilt, Gen Shekarchi said.
