New Delhi, Dec 17 (UNI) President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced that the United States would impose a blockade on all “sanctioned oil tankers” going to and from Venezuela.
In a speech delivered from the White House, Trump said, “Venenzuela is completely surrounded by the largest armada ever assembled on the history of South America.”
The move is an escalation of the months-long pressure campaign against Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and could lead to an economic crisis for the Latin American nation dependent on oil revenues.
