US and NATO allies warn of increasing Iranian threats in Europe, North America

Washington, August 1 (UNI): The United Kingdom and 13 allied nations, including the United States and France issued a strong condemnation of Iran’s intelligence services, accusing them of orchestrating a growing campaign of assassinations, kidnappings, and harassment targeting individuals across Europe and North America.

In a joint statement, the governments described the alleged actions as a “clear violation” of national sovereignty and urged Tehran to immediately cease such extraterritorial operations.

“We are united in our opposition to the attempts of Iranian intelligence services to kill, kidnap, and harass people in Europe and North America,” the statement read. “We are committed to working together to prevent these actions from happening and call on the Iranian authorities to immediately put an end to such illegal activities in our respective territories.”

In addition to the UK, US, and France, the statement was endorsed by Albania, Austria, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Sweden.

The joint communique further alleged that Iranian operatives are increasingly working in coordination with international criminal networks to target journalists, political dissidents, Jewish individuals, and current or former government officials living abroad.
