Bhopal: State Election Commissioner Manoj Srivastava has informed that all preparations for the urban local body and panchayat by-elections have been completed.
State Election Commission Secretary Deepak Singh has informed that voting in urban local bodies will be held on December 29 from 7 AM to 5 PM. Counting of votes and declaration of election results will be done on December 31 from 9 AM onwards.
Voting in panchayats will be held on December 29 from 7 AM to 3 PM. Counting of votes for the post of Panch will be done at the polling station immediately after voting. Counting of votes for Sarpanch, Janpad Panchayat members and District Panchayat members, which will be done using EVMs at the block headquarters, will begin on January 2 at 8 AM. The election results for Sarpanch and Janpad Panchayat members will be declared on the same day. The results for District Panchayat members and Panch posts will be declared on January 5, 2026, from 10:30 AM onwards.
