UP Duo Busted in Bhopal with ₹2.6 Lakh Drug Haul

Bhopal: Gautam Nagar police have successfully intercepted a major narcotics trafficking attempt, arresting two men from Uttar Pradesh and recovering over 13 kilograms of cannabis (Ganja) valued at Rs 2.60 lakh.

Acting on a tip-off received Wednesday, police identified two suspects near the Gautam Nagar area who were reportedly carrying narcotics in trolley bags. On searching the bags, police discovered a total of 13.48 kilograms of the illegal substance.

The arrested individuals were identified as Mohammad Rehan (21) and Mohammad Mohin (20), both residents of Meerut district in Uttar Pradesh.

Station House Officer Mahendra Singh Thakur confirmed the seizure of the contraband and stated that a case has been registered against the duo under the stringent NDPS Act. The police operation successfully curtailed a key supply route. Both accused have been presented before the court for judicial remand as the investigation continues.
