UP BJP begins process of strengthening organisational network before 2027 polls

Lucknow, March 23 (UNI) Nearly a year ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, the ruling state BJP has decided to strengthen its organsation. The party has now hastened the process of forming the state committee and nominating party workers to various corporations, commissions, and boards.

A meeting of the party’s state core committee was held on Sunday late evening at the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak. The meeting was attended by state chief Pankaj Chaudhary, general secretary (organization) Dharampal Singh, and Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, among others.

Lasting for about an hour, the meeting featured detailed discussions about the formation of the state committee, appointments to various posts, and the accommodation of party workers.

According to sources, a suggestion emerged during the meeting that those party workers who are unable to secure a position within the organizational structure or those who are slated to be relieved of their current duties should be accommodated within the various corporations, boards, and commissions.

It is reported that this meeting was originally scheduled to take place at the Chief Minister’s residence. Since the CM was out of the city, it was held at Brajesh Pathak’s residence. Following the meeting, the state chief briefed the Chief Minister over the phone about the proceedings and subsequently left for Delhi with the proposed list.

Given that the parliamentary session is currently underway, the state president will remain in Delhi. It is anticipated that during a meeting scheduled in Delhi over the next two to three days, the final seal of approval will be placed on the names associated with the formation of the state-level committee and the various nominations, following which the official list will be released.
