Two sisters die, 3 Injured as car rams into truck in Baghsewania

Bhopal, Two sisters died in a tragic accident in the city’s Baghsewania area late Sunday night. A woman’s husband and two other friends are seriously injured in the accident. All three are undergoing treatment at Sagar Hospital.

The deceased Deepali Verma (33) and Shikha Verma (29) were sisters and were residents of Katara Hills area. The injured include Saksham Jain, Suyash Chauhan and Manoraj. On Saturday night, both the sisters, Deepali’s husband and two friends had gone to a hotel in MP Nagar to celebrate the party. At around 1:15 am, when everyone was returning home by car, this accident happened in front of Baghsewania police station.

Speed of the car is said to be over 100 KMPH

According to the police, as soon as the truck coming from Misrod took a turn from the cut point in front of the police station towards the 80 feet road, the car came at a high speed and rammed into the truck. The speed of the car is said to be more than 100 km per hour. Due to such a high speed, the driver could not see the truck and the car directly rammed into the truck.

The car was badly damaged after the collision. People present nearby informed the police and took the injured to the hospital. There the doctors declared Deepali and Shikha dead, while the condition of the other three remains critical.

The police have started the investigation by registering a case. CCTV footage is also being examined to find out the role of the truck driver and the reasons for the accident. In the initial investigation, negligence and high speed are believed to be the reason for the accident.
