Two Navy personnel die in accident: Unknown vehicle struck and fled

Bhopal: Two Navy personnel were hit by an unidentified vehicle in the Parwalia area. Both died during treatment this morning. They had gone to practice at the Boat Club. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.

According to TI Rohit Nagar, Vishnu Arya (27) and Anand Krishnan (18), residents of Raksha Bihar Colony and serving as Navy constables, were originally from Kerala. At 3 a.m. on Sunday, they were riding a bike toward Bhopal.

They were hit by an unidentified vehicle on the main road near the colony. Their companions rushed the injured personnel to the hospital, where Vishnu was pronounced dead shortly afterward. Anand died during treatment in the morning. A post-mortem examination was conducted on both bodies on Sunday afternoon in the presence of fellow staff.

The FSL team inspected the scene, where blood stains, two helmets, and shoes were found.

Police scanning CCTV cameras

Police say that Raksha Bihar Colony is a defense colony, where CCTV cameras are installed nearby. Footage from the cameras is being examined to identify the vehicle that struck the bike and its driver. The case is being investigated.

Police recovered two helmets from the scene. Both men were wearing helmets at the time of the accident. Police also found a fallen pole nearby. This suggests that the accident was caused by a heavy vehicle collision. The bike was completely shattered in the incident.
