Two-Day seminar on “Cyber Investigation and Digital Forensics” concludes at Police Academy

A two-day seminar on “Cyber Investigation and Digital Forensics” concluded successfully at the Madhya Pradesh Police Academy in Bhopal under the guidance of Additional Director General of Police Sonali Mishra. The event was organized by the Training Branch of the Police Headquarters, Bhopal. The seminar saw the participation of 42 police officers, including Deputy Superintendents of Police, Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, cyber experts, and digital forensic investigators from various districts.

The primary goal of the seminar was to provide valuable insights into the latest techniques used in cybercrime investigations and the analysis of digital evidence. The seminar commenced with an opening address by Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajeev Tripathi. On the first day, experts from the State Cyber Cell, Dharmendra Mishra and Deepak Singh, provided detailed knowledge on cybercrime basics, analysis of CDR and IPDR, and the government’s cybercrime portal. Inspector Abhishek Sonkar delivered an impactful lecture on financial crime investigation and targeted cybercrime.

On the second day, Cyber Expert Kuldeep Verma shared insights on the basics of digital forensics, the process of searching and seizing electronic evidence, and the admissibility of such evidence in court. DCP Riyaz Iqbal also provided an overview of the challenges in tackling cybercrimes and shared case studies of cybercrimes traced by the police in various districts. The seminar concluded with a session on the “Mission Karmayogi” initiative.

The event was successfully concluded with gratitude extended by Additional SP Shradha Joshi and DSP Rajeev Tripathi.
