Bhopal: The prestigious Hindi-Tarbhashi Hindi Sevi Samman 2025 was conferred at a grand ceremony organised by the Madhya Pradesh Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti at Hindi Bhavan, Shyamala Hills, Bhopal. The august event was graced by the Governor of Madhya Pradesh, His Excellency Mangubhai Patel, as the Chief Guest, with Raghunandan Sharma, Vice President of the Committee, presiding.

This year, two Bengali-speaking officials from BHEL, Bhopal Gautam Majumdar, General Manager (CMG, PMG, CC & DTG), and J. Chatterjee, General Manager (Hydro)—were honoured. They received a memento, shawl and coconut from the Governor in recognition of their significant contributions towards the implementation of Hindi, particularly in technically intensive fields and digitalisation.

The honour is awarded annually to non-Hindi speaking Hindi enthusiasts who have demonstrated exemplary commitment to promoting the use of the official language Hindi in central government offices, public sector undertakings, and banks. It highlights individuals who, with dedication and interest, have worked to increase the adoption of Hindi within their organisations.

On this occasion, Kailash Chandra Pant, Minister and Convenor of the Committee; Prof. Ranjana Argade, Vice President; Dr. Sanjay Saxena, Assistant Minister; and Poonam Sahu, Manager (HR, Rajbhasha) from BHEL Bhopal were present along with a large gathering of Hindi lovers. The ceremony not only celebrated the promotion of Hindi but also recognised the inspiring role of non-Hindi speakers in advancing its use.
