Shahpur, (Kangra) Jan 29 (UNI) Reaffirming that transparent and accountable governance remains the state government’s top priority, Shahpur MLA and Deputy Chief Whip Keval Singh Pathania chaired a key review meeting here to assess preparations for the Chief Minister’s proposed programme in the Shahpur Assembly constituency and to review the progress of ongoing development works.
The meeting was held at the Mini Secretariat, Shahpur, and was attended by officers and representatives of various departments. During the meeting, Pathania conducted a comprehensive review of schemes being implemented by the Jal Shakti, Power, Forest, Agriculture and Horticulture, Nagar Panchayat, Health, Revenue, and other departments in the Shahpur Assembly constituency. Detailed discussions were also held on flagship welfare schemes being run by the state government in the public interest.
The Deputy Chief Whip directed all departments to prepare complete details of their respective schemes within one week. The data should clearly mention the expenditure incurred, areas covered under the schemes, and the number of beneficiaries. He stressed that all development works must be completed within the stipulated time frame so that people receive benefits without delay.
Emphasising prompt grievance redressal, Pathania instructed officers to ensure timely presence in village-level public grievance redressal programmes, stating that swift resolution of public issues is a top priority of the government. Transparent and accountable administration, he added, remains a key policy of the state government.
He further informed that the Chief Minister’s visit to the Shahpur Assembly constituency is proposed shortly, during which foundation stones and inaugurations of several development projects will be undertaken. All departments were directed to complete necessary preparations and finalise a detailed programme well in time.
Special instructions were issued to the Power Department to address public misconceptions regarding smart electricity meters and to provide clear and accurate information about their benefits.
Shahpur SDM Ganesh Thakur welcomed the Deputy Chief Whip and assured him that all instructions issued during the meeting would be implemented in letter and spirit.
