Bhopal: A young woman in a live-in relationship tragically died by suicide at a private hospital in the Shahpura area after a dispute with her partner over marriage. The deceased, identified as Tanya Suryavanshi, worked at the same hospital where her body was found hanging.
According to police, the conflict arose when Tanya’s partner, from a different caste, insisted that she live with his parents after their marriage. Tanya, however, objected to this condition, leading to a heated argument that she believed triggered her extreme action.
Investigation Underway
Tanya’s father, Sahab Lal Suryavanshi, confirmed to police that both families had agreed to the inter-caste marriage, but the dispute over living arrangements became a major point of contention. While no suicide note was found, police have launched a thorough investigation. They have seized Tanya’s mobile phone for forensic analysis and are actively searching for her live-in partner for questioning.
Authorities plan to interview Tanya’s colleagues to determine if she had been facing any issues with her partner. The incident has raised concerns about the extreme measures people are taking due to relationship conflicts. Police have stated they are taking the matter seriously and will take further action once the investigation is complete.
