Tragedy strikes as passenger bus runs over 8th grade girl student

A heartbreaking accident on New Jail Road claimed the life of 15-year-old Muskan Khan, a vibrant 8th-grade student from a private school in Bhopal. The incident occurred near Sagar Gere restaurant on Sunday night at 8:30 PM. Muskan, along with her younger brother Ayaan, was returning home on a scooter after enjoying chowmeen at a nearby eatery. While Ayaan escaped with minor injuries, Muskan tragically came under the front tire of a speeding bus headed towards Ujjain, losing her life on the spot.

The accident unfolded as Muskan attempted a U-turn towards her home when the bus rammed into her scooter. A passerby rushed her to the hospital in his car, but doctors at People’s Hospital declared her dead. The bus driver, unable to control the vehicle, fled the scene but later surrendered at the police station. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.

Muskan’s father, Nazir Khan, a truck driver originally from Silwani, moved to Bhopal a decade ago for his children’s education. The family is devastated, with Muskan’s mother yet to be informed of the tragedy. The untimely loss of a young, promising life has cast a shadow of grief over the entire household.
