Bhopal: Commuters in Bhopal should note that city traffic will be affected today (Friday) morning due to a marathon organized by the Urban Traffic Police.
The event, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’ under the aegis of the Madhya Pradesh Culture Department, will take place from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM.
The Marathon Route: The race will begin at Shaurya Smarak and pass through Vyapam Square, Board Office, DB Mall, AP Nagar Police Station Square, Court Square, Vallabh Bhavan, Satpura Bhavan, and conclude at the Shaurya Smarak Gate via Thandi Sadak.
Key Changes:
Traffic along this route is expected to be heavy; commuters are advised to use alternative routes.
Parking for participants will be arranged on both sides of the road from Thandi Sadak to Shivaji Square. Designated parking for officials will be along one side of the road from Vallabh Bhavan Square towards Satpura Bhavan.
The police urge citizens to cooperate and plan their travel accordingly to avoid congestion.
