Los Angeles, (UNI) The highly acclaimed coming-of-age-gothic-horror-comedy-drama series ‘Wednesday’ is back with yet another season, directed by the legendary gothic maestro Tim Burton.
The season follows a teenage Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) as she attends Nevermore Academy, a boarding school for outcasts, monsters and misfits. It’s also the place where Wednesday’s parents — Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez Addams (Luis Guzmán) — first fell in love.
Struggling to master her own psychic powers while navigating high-school life, Wednesday is going to have to face a bunch of new problems, all the while finding herself lying at the focal point of a whole bunch of dark new mysteries, reports Netflix-media portal – Tudum.
Fresh foes and woes lie in store in this new chapter set in the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy.
“This season, Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries, and old adversaries, propelling her headlong into another year at Nevermore,” said co-showrunners and executive producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.
“Nothing is what it seems in Season 2,” creator Miles Millar told the website, adding “Wednesday goes into this season thinking she knows Nevermore. It’s the first time she’s returned to a school willingly.
“But as soon as she gets back, nothing happens that she’s expecting. She thinks she’s going to be in control, that she knows where all the bodies are buried, and she doesn’t.”
Season 2 will also introduce a few new faces, including Steve Buscemi, Dame Joanna Lumley and a guest appearance by Lady Gaga.
