Thunderstorm with lighting gusty wind likely in Telangana in next 24 hrs: Met

Hyderabad, Mar 22 (UNI) Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty wind speeds ranging from 40 to 50 km/h and hailstorms are likely to occur at isolated places in the Komaram BheemBheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Mahabubabad, Warangal, and Hanamkonda Jangaon districts of Telangana, the Meteorological Centre said on Saturday.

In a daily weather report here, it said that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds ranging from 30 to 40 km/h are likely to occur in isolated places in the state during the next three days.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at a few places in Telangana during the next three days.

The maximum temperatures fall by 2-3 degrees Celsius during the next two days and thereafter gradually rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius.

Dry weather is likely to prevail in Telangana from March 25 to 28.

As per media reports, hailstorms occurred at isolated places in Jagityal, Kumaram Bheem, Rajanna Sircilla, Peddapalle and Mancherial districts of the state during the last 24 hours.

Rain occurred at many places in Telangana during the same period.

The highest maximum temperature of 38.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at Bhadrachalam in the state on Friday, the report added.
