Kannur, (UNI) Three members of a family were found hanged to death in their house at Neerveli near Koothuparamba, on Friday.
The three were living in the house. It is reported that the youth, an accused in a POCSO case, committed sucide first and later his grandmother and her sister also committed sucide by hanging in the same house, due to despair and devastation over the youth’s sucide.
According to police, the deceased were identified as Kishan Sunil (23), his grandmother Reji VK (60) and her sister Roja (55), residing at Nimisha Nivas at Neerveli.
The body of Kishan Sunil was found in a hanging position by his grandmother and her sister, when they returned to their house around 1600 hrs after work.
They alerted the local residents, and they rushed the body to Thalassery General Hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead.
Following the grief over loss of their nephew, both the grandmother and her sister committed suicide by hanging in separate rooms.
Police rushed to the house to inform the death of Kishan Sunil, who was an accused in a POCSO related case.
The bodies will be shifted to Thalassery General Hospital for post-mortem.
Kishan’s father Sunil and mother Nimisha and a brother were residing in another house.
