New Delhi, Jan 10 (UNI) Three men who allegedly stabbed a man to death following an old rivalry have been arrested by Delhi Police from the Narela industrial area, outer north of the city, an official said on Saturday.
Police said the accused have been identified as Manish, Rajesh (alias Haddi), and Raja, who are brothers and had been absconding since September last year after the alleged incident, they said.
Police said the accused were wanted in a case registered under Sections 103(1) (murder), 109(1) (attempt to murder), and 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). A Delhi court had issued non-bailable warrants against them.
The case was registered based on a complaint by Akbar, who alleged that the accused had previously threatened him and his brother Raja following an earlier dispute.
Police said on the day of the incident, Manish, along with his brothers Rajesh and Raja and their associates, allegedly carried out a premeditated attack on the complainant’s group.
A senior police officer said that during the attack, Badshah, a close associate of the complainant, was allegedly stabbed multiple times and collapsed at the scene and was later declared dead.
Police said they received information that the accused were hiding in Bihar’s Begusarai district. Police said all three accused were traced and arrested in Begusarai on Thursday and that they allegedly confessed to their involvement in the murder during sustained interrogation.
“Manish is allegedly involved in more than 35 criminal cases, including theft, offenses under the Arms Act, and attempted murder. Raja has three previous cases registered against him, while Rajesh, also known as Haddi, is allegedly linked to several serious offences,” the officer stated.
