Three accused sent to jail, one on police remand in Chandan Mishra murder case

Patna, July 21 (UNI) Three of four accused arrested in connection with Chandan Mishra murder case, were sent to jail while another one Tausif, who is main accused of the case was handed over to police for his custodial interrogation today.

Police said here that four accused including the kingpin Tausif were arrested from Kolkata with assistant of STF of West Bengal police in connection with killing of Chandan Mishra, who was shot dead on July 17 during his treatment in Paras hospital in Patna. All of them were brought to Patna on transit remand and produced before a local court, police added.

“Three accused were sent to jail while kingpin Tausif was taken into custody for interrogation after permission from the court,” police said adding that case was being investigated from all possible angles.

A gangster Chandan Mishra who was released on parole from jail in a murder case, was shot dead by criminals during his treatment in a private hospital Paras in Patna on July 17. On the basis of CCTV footage of the hospital, killers were identified and after tracking their phone calls, they were arrested from Kolkata with assistance of West Bengal police.
