The Mafia Rules in Madhya Pradesh

  • Singhar Questions Law and Order in the State

Bhopal, Leader of Opposition, Umang Singhgar, raised serious questions about the state’s law and order situation after posting a video on social media, alleging that the mining mafia is overpowering the police in Madhya Pradesh. Singhgar, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), claimed that the video, filmed in Morena district, shows how a sand mafia operative overpowered a group of six police officers. According to Singhgar, the police tried to stop the man, who was bringing a tractor loaded with sand, but he managed to escape, leaving the officers helpless.

Singhgar questioned, “Is this not mafia rule in Madhya Pradesh?” He further pointed out that this was not an isolated incident. “There have been continuous attacks on the police, administration, and mining officials,” he added, highlighting the increasing intimidation faced by law enforcement from mafia groups. Singhgar also accused the government of indirectly providing protection to these mafia gangs.

In the video, a tractor-trailer driver is seen fleeing from the police after a brief confrontation, demonstrating the growing lawlessness in the region. Singhgar emphasized that despite such incidents, the government continues to pat itself on the back for its so-called achievements in law enforcement, further intensifying the debate over the true state of law and order in Madhya Pradesh.
